The walk then continues along the coastline, eventually leading back to the starting point.

Petra tou Romiou, with which the hiker has visual contact almost throughout the route, is the main attraction of the path. The route mainly follows forest roads of the Paphos Forest Park, where the hiker can observe various types of shrubby vegetation of the area and reforestation efforts conducted by the Department of Forests to enrich the existing flora. The path also passes through the excursion area of the Park, where basic facilities such as drinking water and restrooms are provided. It ends at a parking area at the western boundary of the Park. Hikers can follow the forest roads to make various shorter or longer circular routes. Access is also available from Aphrodite Hills Resort, Golf, and Spa, which borders the state forest.

It passes through dense clusters of rough pine, the dam of Arminou, the excursion area of Pera Vasa (where part of the trunk of the giant pine tree of Pera Vasa is exhibited), continues through the farm of the Holy Monastery of Kykkos "Saouris," the Cave of Saouris, the sheepfold of Mita, and passes near the observatory for vultures.

At a crossroads approximately 500m from the starting point, the path to the left leads to the helipad of Psokas Stavros (1.5km away), while the path to the right follows the upper circular route. Access to the Zacharou fire lookout of the Forestry Department.

This picturesque circular route skirts the edges of the Paphos forest. It ascends the hill above the Argaka settlement, follows a well-maintained dirt road, and completes a circuit before returning from the east to the starting point. Along the way, you'll be treated to magnificent views of the village, the Chrysochous Gulf, the Akamas Peninsula, and the Argaka Dam in the south.

It features a beautiful gorge at the start of the Akamas peninsula, known for its vertical cliffs, rich flora and fauna, and the endemic centauria akamatis plant. Please be cautious of falling rocks. The beach at the trailhead is a turtle nesting site, and there's a single hilltop restaurant in the area. This trail isn't ideal for young children and pets due to boulder scrambling, so keep an eye out for local wild mountain goats.

Viewpoints, initially towards the western coasts of Akama, including Lara Bay, and eastwards towards Chrysochou Bay, Latsi, Polis, Pachyammos, and the Forest of Pafos. The long route passes through the old magnesium mines and facilities, including abandoned chimneys, within a dense section of Akama Forest.

The long route is also connected with the Adonis Trail in the Kefalovrysi location, where there is a spring with non-potable water. At the starting point, both trails are close to the "Pissouromoutti" trail. Both trails pass near the Fire Watchtower of the Forestry Department in the "Piana" location. The Smigies Trail is part of the European E4 hiking path.

In the location of Kefalovrysi, there is a spring with non-potable water, connected with the Smigies trail and the Aphrodite trail, with which it shares a section. An ancient oak tree is also worth a visit, located near the tower's ruins. To make the trail circular, you follow the road from Aphrodite's Baths to Latsi for about 400m. The starting point of the trail is near the Botanical Garden of Akama. The trail is part of the European E4 hiking path.

The trail provides breathtaking views of Cape Arnaoutis, Polis Chrysochous, and the Pafos Forest. It also connects to the Adonis trail, and near the starting point, you'll find the 'Akamas Botanical Garden.' The area is rich in flora and fauna, including endemic plants and a variety of wildlife.
