The church of Panagia Phorbiotissa, also known as Panagia of Asinou, lies in the northern foothills of the Troodos mountains, three kilometers south of Nikitari. Built on the east bank of a stream, the monastery holds significant historical and cultural value. Notably, it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1985, along with nine other painted Byzantine churches of the Troodos range. Moreover, founded in 1099, the monastery thrived for centuries, serving as a cornerstone of the region's religious and artistic heritage. However, it continued to function until its eventual abandonment in the late 18th century.
The surrounding trail winds through forests, natural paths, and country roads. Offering stunning views of Morphou Bay, its green fields, and the vivid hills of Paliospora village. The trail cuts through the forested mountain of Faraklou. With views of the Morphou plain, Thalassa you Xero beach, the Pentadaktylos mountain range, and Kormakitis Bay.
We’ve noticed that waiting for latecomers can disrupt our events and isn’t fair to those who arrive on time. To keep things smooth for everyone, we’ll be sticking to the schedule rigidly. Please make sure to arrive at this activity on time. So you can enjoy the full experience of the Grand Finale - The Final Ascent.

Admission Cost:
→ Despite rising costs, we've set a €12.22 flat rate per daily activity, covering organization, meals, and drinks like Zivania and wine (no beer).
→ Feel free to bring your own beverage if you have a preference beyond what's provided.
→ If you have dietary preferences or specific requests, like vegetarian options, please let us know in advance.

Event Guidelines:
Schedule Adherence • The event schedule is fixed and will only change in case of a life-threatening situation.
Leadership and Safety• All participants must follow the instructions of the experienced /certified leader at all times.
Breaks • Short breaks will be scheduled, but everyone must adhere to the time limits to avoid delays.
Communication •If you encounter any issues (e.g., fatigue, hunger, or discomfort), inform the leader immediately. There’s no shame in needing help, and we’ll find a solution together as a team.
Environmental Responsibility 
Behavioral Expectations • Respect for all participants, nature, and the tranquility of the site is mandatory.
• The Club’s events are strictly for individuals over 18 years old. Participants join at their own risk, and the Club, event organizers, and leaders assume no responsibility for participants’ health, safety, or any injuries.
Personal Responsibility• By signing up and paying the event fee, participants acknowledge that they are solely responsible for assessing their fitness and readiness for the activity.
Important Note
Participants are expected to uphold a standard of respect and responsibility. This ensures the safety and enjoyment of all, preserves the environment, and maintains the integrity of the Club’s events. Failure to comply with these rules may result in removal from the current event and potential exclusion from future activities.
